Thank you for visiting Our Home Improvement Project at http://www.ourhomeimprovementproject.com.  For those interested, here is what this site does, what information we collect, and how we take steps to keep your privacy information secure.

Advertising:  We do accept advertising on this site.  In addition, this blog participates in a number of affiliate programs through Commission Junction and Link Share.  Via the use of cookies, your purchase will be tracked back to this blog.  Basically, I will receive a small commission if you purchase an item through one of my affiliate links.  However, you can disable cookies on your computer from storing this information.

Note:  In addition to using affiliate programs, I like to recommend a product that we have used in our home.  Some of these links are not affiliate links but rather me sharing a great product with you.

Giveaways:  Once this blog gets up and running, I intend to host numerous giveaways.  Most giveaways will require you to answer a question and leave your email address in the comments section.  This email address will be required to contact you if you are a giveaway winner.  Your email address will not be sold or distributed.  If you are a giveaway winner, your email address, name, address, and phone number will be provided to the sponsor so they can ship you your prize.  However, your personal information will not be shared or distributed to anyone else.

Google Analytics:  I do use Google Analytics to track the progress of my blog.  Basically this program tells me how many people visit my blog, how they got here, and so forth.  I do not get your personal information.  I use this information as a method of improving my blog.  For example, if 100 people visit by using the phrase “how to remove wallpaper” in a Google search, I am able to know this is a popular topic that I should discuss more.
